Since beginning to live together in March 2025, I have used the coffee grounds from our daily morning brew to make paper, and from that paper, shaped a plant pot.
Planted within it is a nagi tree—traditionally believed to resist tearing and to bind connections. The first tree, received at the time of confession, faded in the sun. The second, planted with a wish that nothing would unravel, withered. This is now the third.
Paper has long been regarded as a yorishiro—a vessel that receives the unseen, a medium through which the divine may reside. Into this paper, I allow our chance encounter, born from coincidence like a butterfly effect, and the time we have woven together since, to slowly seep in through the color and scent of coffee beans.
I hope to continue quietly watching this small shrine as it grows and transforms—slowly, like fermentation.

2025年3月に二人暮らしを始めてから、毎朝淹れるコーヒーの挽き殻を漉き込んで紙をつくり、その紙で植木鉢を成形した。 植物には、裂けにくく縁を結ぶとされる梛（なぎ）の木を植えている。
告白の際にもらった初代は日焼けし、綻ばないでと願った二代目も枯れ、いまは三代目になった。
紙は、見えないものを受けとめる素材として、古くから神の依り代とされてきた。その紙に、バタフライエフェクトのような偶然から始まった出会いと、そこから紡がれてきた二人の時間を、コーヒー豆の色と香りで少しずつ沁み込ませている。
小さな神殿が、発酵のようにゆっくりと育ち、変化していくその姿を、これからも静かに見守っていきたい。
